Thomas Marquette's musical journey began at age nine, rooted in the traditional West African rhythm of the djembe. He later expanded his expertise into drum set, marching band, and live performance. He trained extensively throughout the Bay Area, including at the School of Rock, where he joined their elite House Band before touring with various punk and rock groups. Eventually, he returned to the School of Rock as an instructor, working with students of all ages and skill levels.

Teaching quickly became his passion. Over the past year, he has focused on building his private lesson studio and currently teaches private lessons to beginners at Tessellations School. He enjoys helping students grow through personalized, hands-on lessons that build strong technique, rhythm, and confidence. Having performed with local bands and toured regionally, he brings a wealth of experience across diverse styles and stages to his students.
